Cakes: Parvati

Parvati, the Hindu Goddess of Love and Devotion.

But in my post, Parvati is one of the places I can call 'Heaven of Sweets'. This small cafe/dessert store is located in Trinoma Mall.

They have a bunch of unique and yummy desserts that you can find in the Metro. They also served soups, salads, pasta and sandwiches.

These are some of the desserts I've already tried.

The Dome - Small (P135)

For chocolate fanatics out there, 'The Dome' is the perfect one to satisfy your addiction. Dark chocolate coated moist chocolate chiffon with Nutella icing filling. What else can you ask for? <3 This is also available in small (P135), medium (P235) and large (P700) sizes.

Looking for a new style of Brazo de Mercedes which is one of the traditional Filipino desserts? Parvati has got you a unique one, a FROZEN BRAZO DE MERCEDES. :) Your taste buds can still have the richness of the yema-like filling that you want but with a twist of it, being frozen. :)

Available in small (P200), loaf (P370) and whole (P680) sizes.

Filipino: Anix's Kare Kare House

Kare-Kare, it was first originated in Pampanga region. A Philippine stew made up of peanut sauce with a variety of vegetables, stewed oxtail, beef, and occasionally offal or tripe. It is often paired with 'Bagoong' or Shrimp paste (spicy bagoong is perfect!) and hot steamed rice.

For Filipinos, Kare Kare is an all time favorite dish, perfect for either lunch or dinner. Hindi ka Pinoy kung hindi ka kumakain nito!

I discovered a simple restaurant along Sumulong Highway in Antipolo in which their specialty is Kare Kare. Palalagpasin ko pa ba yun? Siyempre HINDI! :)

Oxtail Kare Kare (P365)
Serving/s: 3-4 pax
Suggestion/s: Served with MORE veggies and additional 'Bagoong' paste please.

Baked Oysters (P250)
Servings: 3-4 pax
Suggestion: Order it first! Because it's serving time is a little bit slow but you'll surely love the creaminess of the topping in which it perfectly fits the sweetness of the oysters.

Cakes: Estrel's Caramel Cake (Reblogged)

Not so sweet yet its Caramel cake?! Imagine that? Well, hello to Estrel's Caramel Cake!

Classic yet simple cake designs using butter icing is a big YES! Who wouldn't fall in love with these cakes?

full of roses :)

Estrel's Butter Icing Heart shaped cake

my debut cake

Fuschia, Lilac, Aqua Blue themed
Theme color for the roses? Feel free to choose :)

Cake shapes? Available in round, rectangle, heart and fan.

Chiffon cake flavors? Available in Lemon, Vanilla and Mocha. But I best recommend the Lemon flavor for Caramel icing cakes, it was a good combination :)

Icing flavors? Butter icing, Mallows icing, Caramel icing (--their best seller and  a must try for not so sweet tooth persons)

Additional icing for your cake? Add some more filling but of course with additional charge :)

These cakes are PRE-ORDERED, order it for 2 to 3 days before the day you need it. This makes the cake maintain its freshness. But sometimes, I saw some Caramel cake slices available at the store so I guessed sometimes they sell not pre-ordered cakes but its only for slices nga lang. :D

And one more thing, since they're not using preservatives or what so called, their cakes flavors and freshness could only last for up to 1 or 2 days. But I'll certainly assume you that Estrel's cakes will never last by a day, MAUUBOS KAAGAD YUN! :)))) well, its based on my own experience. :))))

Well, there cakes are very suitable for every occasion. I"m sure you'll fall in love with these cakes inside and out! <3

Other products that Estrel's offer:
  • Apple Squares (Must try!)
  • Chocolate Chop Oatmeal Cookies
  • Leche Flan (Must try!)
  • Lengua de Gato with Almonds
